Off on another adventure

Its a windy but lovely sunny day. Me and the deej have been dropped off at Bickley and we r sat at Jerry Noddle having lunch. Since mr Bean will be cycling over to join us, Deej has his own pack to carry his own food and it will be a very snug fit all three of us in my little tent!
Till later!

Having met with the Bean who had travelled afar, we finally found a suitable tent pitching site. Not far from where i camped before. Mr Bean eagerly laid his sleeping bag out, chucked the dog off, then observed how small my tent was. I then pointed out he had put his head where your feet are supposed to be, he thought about it and agreed, but i had to go along with his choice so he could enjoy the view.

Meanwhile Deej had learnt what was in his backpack and was trying to force his nose through the zip. This stopped when the jetboil came out and we cooked spicy meatballs followed by rice pud. Sadly, i had to give up on my vain attempt to stay awake to see the stars, climbing into my sack at 8pm!
ian got his hipflask out and offered to share his whisky, its just a shame my share was at the bottom and i had to drink through his to get to it!!! Ok he did get a few sips.
We laid watching the light fade, then the cold got the better of us. After fighting for space with the dog a few times, ian managed to close the door and climb into his sack! The dog was pushed down by our feet three more times!
Finally peace ensued, and so did the cold. I was frozen, even after putting on a few layers. At 1 am, i felt hungry as well as fancying a cuppa! Not able to easily unzip everything and get the jetboil going, i made do with a few jaffa cakes, the sponge bit i had to share with the staring thing! Ian woke only to tut at us both an call us a pair of little midnight munchers.
Digesting those jaffas created enough warmth to help me drift off, and when i woke it was to birdsong. Sensing i was the only one awake, i peered at the othe two snorers, and nearly cried out with laughter. Deej had wormed his way to above ians head, wrapped himself around his head, flat on his back with paws in the air, so when Ian woke up, the first thing he saw was Deej’s bits – lovely.! Before he woke up and realise what had happened, Deej was down by our feet in seconds! Ian has been haunted by the image ever since!

Two tins of all in one breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed before packing up. Tent was unpacked again when i realised i left my sunglasses in it! Grrrrrrrrr. Awesome weekend, cant wait for the next one, somewhere different i feel!

Funny how dogs always know where the warm bits are. Our guys H&T quite often ended up at the top of the tent. It’s also farthest away from the cold zipper! Hope the weather holds for your big trip.
